Amy Klobuchar

(born May 25, 1960 in Plymouth, Minnesota) - American politician of the Democratic Party (Minnesota Democra tic-Farmer-Labor Party), U.S. Senator of Minnesota 1st Class (sin ce 2007). Prior to joining the prosecutor Klobuchar was a partner in a leading law firm Dorsey Minensoty Whitney, where one of colleagues was also a former Vice President Walter Mondale. District Attorney serves as the states largest county, Hennepin County. First elected to her district attorney in 1998 and gained re-election in 2002, but the second time without opposition.
